Delete your account

1. Delete it in the app

This is the quickest way. Your account is deleted straight away.

• Assistmate app — open Profile, tap Settings, then Delete my account and confirm.
• Assistmate Helper app — open Profile, tap Delete account at the bottom, then confirm.

You can't delete an account while a booking or job is still under way, or, for helpers, while earnings are still waiting to be paid. Finish or cancel the booking, or let us settle your earnings, then try again.

2. Ask us to delete it

If you no longer have the app, email assistmate32@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my account”. Tell us which app you used and the mobile number you signed in with. We'll confirm the request with that number before deleting anything, and complete it within 30 days.

3. What we delete

• Your sign-in: the account can never be used to sign in again, and your mobile number is freed so you can sign up afresh later.
• Your name, email address and address on your profile.
• Your saved addresses.
• Your notification settings on every device.
• For helpers: your bank and UPI payout details and your location. Your helper profile is deactivated and you won't receive job offers.

4. What we keep, and for how long

Indian tax and accounting law requires us to keep records of transactions. We keep the following for up to 8 years, then delete or anonymise them:

• For customers: past bookings, invoices and payment references (such as the payment ID, amount and status). They show you as “Deleted user”.
• For helpers: past jobs, earnings and payout records, with the name and mobile number they were paid under.
• A record that the account was deleted, and when.
